Meh...Monday

So the epic post about an expat related horror story was waylaid today when the chief programmer at the software company I work for called me to "ask" that I test some Apache and SQL projects he's got going on for an upcoming version release. So that took me hours and now all I see is code... At least I work from home, I guess. I don't think at this point I would function too well in an office environment, it would be like putting a Lakota warrior in a Walmart blazer and asking him to welcome guests. Too free for too long....a blessing and a curse.

And last night I had the bright idea to hold a homebrewed "tribute" to our fallen comrade Hunter Thompson by drinking a bit too much rum while commenting on other bloggers' posts. Pretty sure I didn't offend anyone (no hate mail....always a good thing), and now that I have committed to really supporting only the bloggers I find particularly engaging, my reads are all the more enjoyable. BUT it was a nightmare today coding that database with a pirate's hangover, thank God for New Age music (shut up, you like it too).

But if you are ever down here in Costa Rica and you want your Uncle Aaron to give you a tour of the best quality imbibements, THIS will be the first stop on our journey that you will have no doubt difficulty remembering. The factory where they make this is less than ten miles from my home and you can smell the fermenting sugar cane as soon as you climb the hill that it's on. Cheers and see you tomorrow!

keep working on that SQL bro. Before you know it you'll be like Neo seeing everything around you in dripping running green sparkly code!

woot?

Lol, I gotta be in a certain mood to listen to new age music. Try to work under more sober conditions next time.

Luckily I have every other Monday off. I love it, but I hate the Mondays that I have to work.

Another great advantage of working from home: getting paid while being drunk
