New Feature! Tuesday Travel with Vice Magazine!!

I am very eager and proud to announce a brand-new partnership between this blog and the good folks over at VBS.TV. from now on every Tuesday, I will be posting full-length documentaries from these guys as well as the back stories of the journalists and locations involved. The theme of this blog is and always will be about broadening your horizons, even if it's just mentally as opposed to geographically. And I can think of no better partner for this than the incredible and intrepid staff of VBS and Vice Magazine.

Your support of this blog has made this possible, and my thanks are extended to each and every one of you! Here is a sneak peek at what we have in store for you every Tuesday going forward!

There are regular people, just like you and I who are committed to getting out and digging up the most interesting stories of the world we don't / can't see on the Discovery Channel. These are stories that would normally go untold, like the plight of the Colombian homeless or what it's like to just be a regular citizen of North Korea. All stories are filmed and reported in Gonzo style, that is to say that the crews are not just reporting the issue, they are living it.

A special thanks to Shane Smith of Vice Magazine for his allowing me to bring you these stories in uncensored and uncut format. I am sure this will quickly become one of your favorite features of this blog, and we look forward to many years of working together!

Note: Most if not all of these documentaries will be unsafe for work and inappropriate for children. Please keep this in mind as you watch!

I've seen most of these videos (believe it or not, at work - I was paid to watch them! - as a Video QA Specialist, checking clips for quality and content).

I can highly recommend them.
The Vice team are uncompromising, dodgy and above all entertaining and funny. Can't wait for next Tuesday already!
